Every summer Cameroon students, friends of Cameroon and our fellow Cameroonian brothers, sisters, parents and relatives residing in the United States, Europe and the rest of the world converge for the Annual CAMSA-USA Convention. This Convention week-end provides a unique opportunity of reconnecting with old friends, forging new relationships and also networking with Cameroon businessmen and other career professionals. Students use the opportunity to become better informed about various career and academic opportunities and become equipped with strategies for sustainable integration into our capitalist society.

The colorful week-end is full of various entertaining activities and competitions ranging from the Soccer Championship to a full-fledged Ms. Convention Runway Competition. Many working sessions provide information about financial investments and prevailing market forces driving the economy. It also provides information about pursuing various business ventures, matriculating in graduate and professional schools and also is an opportunity for one-on-one interaction with professionals in the field.

Convention participants also benefit from the expertise of the Keynote Speaker who uses his/her address to inculcate certain life pearls to all participants. It is always a privilege to have Cameroon's Honorable Ambassador to the United States or his Representative at the Convention. As you might expect, the National Executive of CAMSA-USA is elected during the National Convention. Per our Constitution, a usually hotly contested Presidential Debate gives members an opportunity to sample the candidates, have their questions answered and it gives the candidates a platform to articulate their vision for CAMSA-USA. Only fully registered members have the privilege to vote.

The 2007 Annual CAMSA-USA Convention will be hosted by CAMSA- Houston in the city of Houston, in August 2007.
